Solving Puzzles

Classes VI-VIII

Students of the ‘Ramanujan Club’ participated energetically in the activity ‘HITORI and MATHEMATICAL PUZZLES’. In this activity students were taught how to solve HITORI and then they were asked to solve some mathematical puzzles. Solving different kinds of puzzles help students to visualize and understand concepts, build problem solving skills as well allow students to create puzzles reinforcing their knowledge towards the subject. Rishabh of class VII C and Aashee of VI A made some very good puzzles based on mathematics which were discussed in class.

Solving Puzzles

 Puzzles provide an insight which enable the students to tackle more significant challenges. Students worked individually and in small groups to solve the problems from various areas of mathematics. This activity encouraged the collaborative way of working on mathematics where sharing of ideas and results led to deeper insights for all.
